A lot of people have wondered where Francesco Francavilla was on “Swamp Thing” after he was initially announced as being involved with the book. With good reason of course – writer Scott Snyder and artist Yanick Paquette have made this one of the most critically acclaimed books of the New 52, as well as a commercial success. Adding Francavilla? That is the proverbial cherry on top.
Today on Twitter, Snyder actually started talking about where Francavilla was as far as “Swamp Thing” was concerned, while sharing the image to the left as a very small snippet of work the superstar artist has already done. He said:

More on this as we get it. Adding Francavilla sounds fantastic, even if it is just for an his issue. His art would be incredible on the book. Here’s hoping that Snyder saying Paquette is on “thru x-over” in that one tweet doesn’t mean he’s gone after it though.
Updated: Francesco Francavilla just tweeted an image of the Swamp Thing #10 script, confirming that he’ll be working on that issue.
