The Beat reports a sequel to the comic book series, “Vagrant Queen,” will be published by Vault from January 2020. The new five-issue mini-series, titled “Vagrant Queen: A Planet Called Doom,” will reunite Eisner-nominated writer Magdalene Visaggio with illustrator Jason Smith, colorist Harry Saxon, and letterer Zakk Saam.

The book picks up where the first one left off, but is also meant to be new-reader friendly, so anyone can jump into the story for the first time with the sequel without feeling lost. “Vagrant Queen” focuses on child queen Elida, who was driven from her throne and forced to venture the galaxy to escape the revolution who wants her dead. When Elida learns that someone knows her lost mother’s whereabouts, she returns to her kingdom to organize a rescue. In the sequel, Elida’s happiness is threatened by new enemies and she must fight for her life once again.

With SYFY’s new series based on the comic, Vagrant Queen, also hitting the small screen in 2020, fans of Elida and her journey will be getting their fair share of the queen’s adventures. In the meantime, check out the official synopsis below:

Get ready—Vagrant Queen is BACK! Elida Al-feyr has finally managed to build a happy life… until a mysterious man in an ancient white ship shows up and takes it all away. And hey, where the hell is Isaac?
