Starting next year in February, our friends at Valiant will be putting out some new #0 issues to act as jumping on points for their various titles. With their new event/team ongoing book “Unity” out this week kicking off a brand new era of unity for Valiant’s line (pun fully intended), Valiant is seemingly planning to kick it into high gear for the next stage of their evolution, and with that comes a handful of new books.
So, what are you getting? In addition to your regular Valiant titles (“Unity,” “Shadowman,” et al.), you’ll be getting:
Kicking it off from Fred Van Lente and Pere Perez, “Archer” #0 which shows the more younger and more venerable years of Obadiah Archer.
Next up is “H.A.R.D. Corps” #0 from Christos Gage, Josh Dysart and ChrisCross, which promises to be an ode the 90’s of a different kind.
In March, Tom Fowler returns to the Quantum and Woody world for a one-shot starring the Goat, co-written by James Asmus, telling the assumedly amazing tale of Vincent Van Goat.
Topping it off (for now, anyway) is “Bleeding Monk” #0 from the Harbinger world, by Josh Dysart and Khari Evans.
If you’re already a regular Valiant reader, then chances are this all sounds excellent to you. If you aren’t already a regular Valiant reader, I’d recommend catching up.
Also, I really feel that it is worth mentioning that in a world (our world) where zero issues and origin stories and all that jazz are becoming exceedingly common place, Valiant is the only publisher putting out a book starring a goat. THE goat, even — Vincent Van Goat! That’s awesome. That’s what comics are all about!

Also in February, the all-star creative team of Christos Gage, Joshua Dysart, and ChrisCross unleash BLOODSHOT AND H.A.R.D. CORPS: H.A.R.D. CORPS #0! Hey, remember the 90s?
