If you are like me, you may have been very excited by the announcement of Vertigo Resurrected, a new series by Vertigo that reprints comics that are now hard to find. When the title was announced we learned that the first issue would collect “Shoot,” an unpublished Hellblazer story by Warren Ellis, and now the second issue has been revealed to be Peter Milligan and Ted McKeever’s The Extremist. For those not familiar with the story, here is a brief synopsis from Vertigo’s own blog, Graphic Content:

Murder, sex, amorality–anything permissible with the suit on. THE EXTREMIST follows three ordinary people who succumb to the allure of a mask and a costume and all the power that comes with it, creating a shocking and controversial exploration of the nature of freedom and sexuality.

Expect to see Vertigo Resurrected #2 in stores in November.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
