The Powers show is a long ways away still, but it looks like they’ll be getting some help from Frank Darabont’s number two man on production of The Walking Dead: Charles H Eglee!

As confirmed by Bendis on Twitter, Eglee will be helping the show “get on the air in a big, big way.” As a former producer of both The Shield and Dexter, it only seems appropriate that Eglee take on a project like this. But as Bendis notes, looking at his IMDB page causes much to get excited for. He wrote the recent Walking Dead episode “Tell It To The Frogs” as well as episodes of Shield, Dexter, and Dark Angel. Honestly, the Shield credit is enough to give me faith, btu the fact he’s had his hands in shows like Walking Dead and Dark Angel tell me that he certainly is good at working with stories like Powers (sci-fi/supernatural/superheroic/comic adaptations/etc). He even worked on Moonlighting! I don’t know what else you could want.

Powers will hopefully see air soon on FX.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
