Formerly titled Batman vs. Superman, it looks like Man of Steel 2 is actually going to be called something a little bit different. Something to indicate it’s one of those whatchamacallits… you know, them sequel things. To the first one.
According to Fusible, Warner Bros have registered the following domain names that apparently indicate potential titles for the Man of Steel sequel:
- Man of Steel: Battle the Knight
- Man of Steel: Beyond Darkness
- Man of Steel: Black of Knight
- Man of Steel: Darkness Falls
- Man of Steel: Knight Falls
- Man of Steel: Shadow of the Night
- Man of Steel: The Blackest Hour
- Man of Steel: The Darkness Within
Battle the Knight, Black of Knight, Knight Falls and The Blackest Hour have also been registered, so those might be the greatest contenders.
“Knight Falls” seems like the most legit out of those, but with a note that I’m using the word legit rather sarcastically as that’s (basically, kinda sorta) the name of a comic with Batman in it despite being otherwise a silly name for a Superman movie.
That and, for a character WHERE THE S STANDS FOR HOPE, surrounding him in darkness just seems… oh, can I say it? I will. It just seems rather blind.
