Via ComicBook.com, Behemoth Comics and Ubisoft have announced a new series based on the video game Watch Dogs: Legion. Written by Sylvain Runberg, with art by Gabriel Germain, and cover art by both Germain and Alberto Massaggia, the four-issue miniseries “Watch Dogs: Legion” expands the worldbuilding of the latest game, exploring its dystopian London setting and the city’s branch of the hacktivist collective DedSec.

The series follows journalist Louise Hartford as she investigates a set of mysterious disappearances in Kennington Oval Camp. When she crosses paths with a DJ named Adam Logan whose music has become a symbol of the revolution, the pair teams up to “infiltrate the spheres of power to unravel the truth.”

Released in 2020, Watch Dogs: Legion is the third installment in the action-adventure franchise, which began with Watch Dogs back in 2014. The games follow various hackers, insurgents, and activists in a fictionalized dystopian world, eventually focusing in on the revolutionaries of DedSec as they fight against corruption and mass surveillance.

This is only the second licensed comic series set in the Watch Dogs universe, following the two-issue mini “Watch Dogs: Return to Rocinha” by writer Simon Kansara and artist Horne, which was released by Titan Comics in 2019. Runberg is a prolific Belgian writer whose work includes “Sukeban Turbo” and “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” comics, while Germain created Glénat’s prison series “Silencio.”

Behemoth was founded by Nathan Yocum and Ryan Swanson in 2020, after the acquisition of the Spain-based comic book publisher Amigo Comics. As well as various original horror comics, they have published the English-language edition of the cult French comic “MFKZ,” a series based on the modern horror classic A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, and another for the video game Hotline Miami. This series will be the first of several collaborations with Ubisoft.

“Watch Dogs: Legion” #1 hits shelves on November 3. You can check out the covers for the first issue by Germain and Massaggia below.
