My thoughts? Not the best trailer ever. Actually kind of left me cold, and I was very, very amped for it. There are some great lines – digging Chris Pratt as Star Lord and his desire to have that name be famous, I loved the “what a bunch of aholes” line from Peter Serafinowicz, and the cast looks amazing – but as something designed to get me pumped for the movie, or for the average person to get excited to watch it, I have to wonder how well it succeeds.
I predict the next one will be far, far better, especially if they actually have anyone besides Star Lord (and the Nova Corps folk) talk, but time will tell.

Note: I was taking a break from watching “True Detective” when I wrote this post, and the crippling depression tied to it may have impacted by enjoyment.
