The other day, we shared with you Boulet’s 24 Hour Comic Day comic Darkness, in which a young man has to deal with a weid roommate. Today we have something even cooler to share with you: a timelapsed video of Boulet’s process.

The most impressive bit of all this? At no point does Boulet lay down any pencils. He draws straight from the imagination with ink, adding intense details along the way as he goes before adding finishes and colors. Heck, even Nate Fox (whose Twitter feed is where the above video was spotted) does his con sketches in pencil before going over with inks! Magic, indeed.

Sit down and watch the man at work above, and prepare to be amazed.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
