My Chemical Romance’s new album comes out next week (expect a review from yours truly!), but before you get it and listen to it, check out the above video for “SING.” The video once again features Grant Morrison as his evil villain character, Korse. As he reveals in an interview at Hero Complex:
Korse is an exterminator for the S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W unit of Better Living Industries. His extensive back story has yet to be revealed but he’s intimately connected with the Killjoys and their secret history. He’s a remorseless human bloodhound, a hunter who dresses like an undead, post-apocalyptic Doc Holliday.
This does help a couple things make more sense, such as what “S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W/” is. Of course, by the time you finish the video, you’ll be wondering, “Wait… this is the fourth track! This can’t possibly be this song’s story, can it?” Given the lyrics and the track placement, I would imagine not. It also doesn’t exactly connect with the other music video for “Na na na,” but that’s ok. To be honest, MCR make a good video. Plus: Grant Morrison vs. Gerard Way! Two men enter…
