We don’t do a lot of updates on the weekend. Most comic news website things don’t. But every now and then there is just something you have to report. I imagine this is one of those times.
Kevin Maguire, one of the best comics artists around and someone whose name is enough to sell a comic to guys like me (and probably you), was strangely fired from his upcoming book “Justice League 3000” so DC could apparently make it grim and gritty and not fun at all with Howard Porter. It was a sad announcement, perhaps even a frustrating one, and one that turned a lot of people off to the idea of “Justice League 3000.”
But, the good news coming out of it was that Maguire wasn’t going to be out of work any time soon, as Maguire noted he had things in the works. Things like this:
That’s right — for at least one issue, Kevin Maguire will be joining Brian Bendis on “Guardians of the Galaxy.”
Well, that’s enough reason to add “Guardians” to your pull if I’ve ever heard one.
