Welcome Back to Multiversity Comics!

Hi there!

Ok, lets cut the BS. We all know why we’re here: we’ve been having problems, you’ve been noticing problems and everyone has been sad. Due to a series of unfortunate events, Google blacklisted our site and many of you visiting acted something perhaps similar to this:

We were/are fully aware of all of this and believe you me, no one is more sad than I that this site was having problems last week.

As it turns out, the site had a head cold of a virus. It wasn’t anything malicious (at least from what I understand), but it was one of those things where Google pinged us, Google blacklisted us and everything very quickly spiraled downward from there. And despite thinking we had fixed the problem… well, you know when you’re sick and you go into your office or place of work and no one else is sick but by the time that you get healthy again everyone else in the office is sick?

It was kind of like that.

But I can now happily confirm that the site is 100% healthy again! I mean, of course it is — you’re here, aren’t you?

And not only are we 100% healthy, but by all means we are 100% better in just about every way. We took Multiversity and gave it the Six Million Dollar Man treatment, minus the six million and minus the man. OK, so maybe more like Daft Punk then: harder, better, faster, strongerwith emphasis on all four parts of that.

(I don’t know how we’re harder, but we’ll play that by ear.)

We took this misfortune and used it to make an opportunity, improving on places where we had deficiencies both in behind-the-scenes ways you can’t see and the things you can. And I think it has already paid off, because overnight we’ve found ourselves at the #7 spot on Technorati’s Top Comic Blogs (at the time of writing this) from spot, like, #498325 or something. So if nothing else is an indicator of how much better this website is right now, I’m not sure what is!

At any rate, this piece is simply here to say a few short things:

  1. We’re so sorry for any annoyance, grievance or inconvenience we may have caused anyone during this whole Google fracas
  2. We’re all so terribly excited to be back
  3. This site is better than ever in terms of operations, and we intend to keep it that way

Hopefully you’re cool with this. You cool? Cool.

So to everyone that e-mailed us, tweeted us, commented on us and ultimately stuck with us: you guys rock. Now lets get back to business as usual, shall we?

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
