Wes Anderson’s Spider-Man

After Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire left the Spider-Man film series, many people wondered who would take over. Since, (500) Days of Summer director Marc Webb has taken over, but a lot of major names were rumored.

One of the most interesting names involved was Wes Anderson. Anderson is well known for his particular brand of twee and spare filmmaking, quirky soundtracks filled with British Invasion tracks, and a predilection for casting Wilson brothers and Jason Schwartzman. In short, he would have been a really damn weird choice to make Spider-Man (even if I do love the guy).

Filmmaker Jeff Loveness took this concept and ran with it, and his vision of Anderson’s version is now up on YouTube. It’s pretty damn amazing. Check it out after the jump. Also, thanks to /Film for posting this.
