One of the best things about comics is that, like literature, film, and television, the options are limitless for the types of stories that can be told. Sadly, looking at the rack at your local shop, that isn’t always played out in the marketplace. Superhero comics are still, hands down, the dominant genre in all of comics, but it wasn’t always that way. Sure, for all of the genres listed below, there are some books out there that fit the description. But we’re not talking about creating something from nothing – we’re talking about seeing a style of book come back into prominence.
