What’s Next for Frank Cho at Marvel?

Teased over on his blog (with a hat-tip to Robot 6), Frank Cho has shown off a partial cover for an upcoming project featuring Emma Frost and Angel, two of the Uncanny X-Men.

Little is known about what this is for. The image is in the style of his covers for “Savage Wolverine,” but this doesn’t seem like that. Cho has a history of working with Brian Bendis, who writes “Uncanny X-Men”, so there’s that possibility (although Cho’s Frost is in the “classic” Emma Frost outfit, as opposed to the new Uncanny outfit) — but it could also be related to September’s X-Event, “Battle for the Atom.” Cho mentions that he “just received the full script,” so it’s unlikely that he’s writing it himself and that it’s part of a wrap-around cover, so one of those latter two seems particularly likely.

Or, it’s an Emma Frost ongoing. By Frank Cho. Wouldn’t that be something?

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
