Last night, in what can only be described as the biggest news of San Diego Comic Con thus far, DC/Vertigo announced 12 new titles for the fall, from some of the heaviest hitters in the business: Darwyn Cooke, Mike Allred, Gilbert Hernandez, and Gail Simone are among the names launching the titles. These join the three continuing series, “American Vampire,” “Astro City,” and “Suiciders,” bringing Vertigo to its most diverse place, as well as give the line a sense of prominence not seen in a number of years.
