Who Will Shape The Future of Marvel Now? [Updated]

We’re all still recovering from Con Fever, as it were, so forgive the slow updates. It might just be a relatively quiet week.

Over the weekend at SDCC, Marvel announced (among other things) a new Point One book all about Marvel Now!, their relaunch that’s not a reboot initiative. It’ll feature several authors and artists collaborating on what looks to be six stories of characters who will be important in the Post-“AvX” landscape, including Nick Fury Jr.

Now, with a new teaser, we know one of the five additional characters who will matter: Cable. And, as it so happens, Jeph Loeb and Ed McGuinness are on the list of creators, two creators with a history with the character. You don’t think that maybe they’re strapping on the guns and pouches again, do you?

Only time will tell. Look for more updates of the teaser throughout the week.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
