Announced yesterday at WonderCon, Dark Horse will be releasing their Angel series soon, but not in the way that everyone had originally assumed. The title will not be a solo Angel book, but rather Angel & Faith, starring both characters. The book will be written by Christos Gage will illustrations by Rebekah Isaacs and have covers by Joe Chen.
So I suppose some of you are wondering what the book will be about? Well, at the end of Buffy Season 8 (warning: MASSIVE spoilers) Angel assumed the role of the villainous Twilight to help Buffy reach her potential. However, through apparently some crazy super-sex something or rather (note: I didn’t read the book, I’m just relaying information), they created some kind of weird alternate universe that Buffy destroyed with magic. Giles was murdered by the Twilight entity, and Angel himself was left in a catatonic state. So I suppose the book will pick something up from there. It will also run alongside Buffy Season 9, which will be releasing at the same time with a different creative team.
