Nick Spencer tweeted that when we found out who was coming after him, we would forget all about him – and no offense to Nick but he was right!

Starting with issue #16, Warren Ellis will be the new writer for Secret Avengers for at least 6 issues. The series will revert from arc-based stories to single-issue action stories, described as “GI Joe meets Global Frequency.” The book will also feature a different artist per issue (something Marvel appears to be doing a lot lately), with Jamie McKelvie doing the first issue featuring the cast of Steve Rogers, Black Widow, Moon Knight, and Henry McCoy.

Ellis says that it’s very easy to anticipate what is coming up in the series with the following phrase: RUN THE MISSION. DON’T GET SEEN. SAVE THE WORLD.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
