Very quietly announced in this month’s DC solicitations (much to our confusion), it looks like Brian Wood’s second licensed work has been announced: a Supernatural comic based on the TV series.

The solicit reads as follows:

Written by BRIAN WOOD
Art by GRANT BOND
Cover by DUSTIN NGUYEN
On sale OCTOBER 5 – 1 of 6, 32 pg, FC, $2.99 US

Acclaimed writer Brian Wood pens the latest comics epic based on the hit CW TV series Supernatural!

On an academic break while at Stanford, Sam Winchester visits the United Kingdom on what is meant to be a sleepy trip…but on his first day he meets the alluring “Emma of the isles,” and his visit gets a thousand percent less boring! “Caledonia” will be an unparalleled adventure in the SUPERNATURAL saga as the Winchesters travel to Scotland!

While I personally do not follow the show, several of the Multiversity staff do and assure me of it’s worth. However, with Wood on the title I can imagine that it’ll be quite worthwhile. It will also assumedly be stand alone, meaning non-fans of the series (like myself) will probably be able to get into it. It workeed with DV8, so it stands to reason Wood would gear this for new fans as well as old ones.

Either way, you can expect sass and monsters – what more do you need?

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
