X-Factor Goes Gold

In addition to yesterday’s triptych breaking New Mutants teaser, we guessed correctly that the latest (and assumedly last) entry into the Marvel Regenesis X-Men line revamp is X-Factor. X-Factor has notoriously been operating on it’s own without interference from the wider X-Men world, and it has proved to be one of the most succesful X-Books for that very purpose. It’ll be interesting to see how this ends up working out, considering the X-Factor have yet to make even the slightest of appearances in Schism.

With Peter David continuing his epic run on the title and Emanuela Lupacchino joining for illustration purposes, the oddest thing about the teaser is that the only illuminated member is Havok, one of the X-Men lost in space who serves as a focal point for the upcoming X-Men Legacy arc. It is assumed that the illuminated member in each teaser is the “leader” of the team, which leads us asking: Wait, where’s Jamie?

Here is the latest X-Factor solicit we have:

X-FACTOR #227
Written by PETER DAVID
Penciled by LEONARD KIRK
Cover by DAVID YARDIN

In this issue, a member of X-Factor dies.

32 PGS./Rated T+ …$2.99

Wait a minute… you don’t think Peter David would…? …No. No, of course he wouldn’t kill Jamie Madrox. …right?

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
