Yale Stewart’s “Little League” Becomes “JL8”

This is more of an update than a news post, admittedly, but it’s something we wanted to bring up. Way back when, we ran a news post on a brand new webcomic called “Little League” by Yale Stewart, a friend of this site. It’s an adorable comic about eight-year old versions of the Justice League who are all attending school together. They’re a little League. It’s a pun based off of a term used for baseball.

Well, “Little League” is no longer “Little League.” As Yale writes on Facebook,

Alright, guys. So, I’ve been legally prevented from titling my strip “Little League,” effective August 31st. The strip will carry forward, however, under the banner “JL8.” This is the new page for it. PLEASE share this around, because I know I’m going to lose readership in the change, but if you pass it forward, it should help minimize the loss. Thank you so much, everyone, for all your support.

So no longer will it be a clever term punned away from baseball (as that’s apparently a trademark owned title), but the comic will now be called “JL8” instead. The comic is now mainly housed at JL8comic.tumblr.com, so follow it there if you don’t already or like the Facebook page.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
