Has the DCnU got you down? Are you not a fan of the way the characters were reinvented? Well, the good news is is that while DC has been recreating their characters and books for you in a comic book store, creators all over the internet are offering up their own reinventions of the various characters of the DCnU for you to love and enjoy (for free, no less!).

Enter: Yale Stewart, a gifted young artist who we met at NYCC. In the tradition of classic newspaper strips, Yale has decided to offer up his own reinvention of the characters, taking them back further than the DCnU has and enrolling the heroes at Schwartz Elementary. It’s kind of like Tiny Titans if the characters weren’t all friends, but with two entries into the series online right now, Yale’s humor shines through quite well and things bode quite well for the strip. If you’re even remotely a fan of DC comics, you’re going to want to bookmark this right away.

The comic will be updated every Saturday at LittleLeagueComic.tumblr.com, but with Yale’s Watterson-esque style, it is one that is sure to entertain. Be sure to look for more of Yale’s work on Deviant Art, as well as his upcoming book Gifted and a back-up piece in an upcoming issue of Luther Strode!

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
