“Sci Fu” creator Yehudi Mercado is set to release a new sci-fi graphic novel next April. Titled “Fun Fun Fun World,” the new Oni Press book tells the story of an inept alien crew’s attempt to take over Earth – starting with a derelict amusement park.
The Hollywood Reporter shared details (and exclusive preview pages) from “Fun Fun Fun World,” including the following plot synopsis:
The book follows the attempt of the inept crew of alien warship Devastorm 5 to conquer Earth and finally prove their worth to their all-powerful queen — the only problem being, their planned invasion begins with the now-derelict amusement park Fun Fun Fun World, which isn’t exactly a representative sample for the rest of the planet, a fact that could have truly deadly repercussions not only for the crew of the Devastorm 5, but for everyone else on the planet, as well.
The Reporter also notes that “Sci Fu” will receive a sequel in late 2020 and, if his two upcoming comics aren’t enough Yehudi Mercado content for you, you’ll be able to catch a second season of Mercado’s narrative podcast, Hero Hotel, soon.
