Young & Mann Prove Magneto to be No Hero in November

It seems to have been a banner week for Marvel announcements as the company gears up the release of their November solicitations and following in the footsteps of the upcoming Victor Von Doom mini-series comes another villain-centric book, Magneto: Not a Hero from artist turned writer Scottie Young with pencils from Clay Mann, fresh off his recent stint drawing (a version of) the character in Age of X.

According to Young, Magneto really has been one of the X-Universe’s most enduring impressive villains and teases appearances from the likes of The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants as well as major turmoil within the X-Men/Magneto relationship.

Wait? Whats that? Magneto is currently on the side of the angels and a publicly respected member of the X-Men? Yes, that certainly does seem to be the case. And with his distintive silhouette counted amongst the less familiar ones in the teaser for Kieron Gillen’s upcoming Uncanny X-Men relaunch, one has to wonder where a four part mini-series that reportedly begins with a video tape of Magneto killing humans and featuring him acting altogether villainous fits in the grand scheme of the X-Verse. I guess we’ll have to wait until November to find out.
