Zeb Wells And Joe Madureira To Conclude Their Spider-Man Story

Zeb Wells, in a recent interview with Spinoff, revealed that he has been writing pages for a Spider-Man project for editor Stephen Wacker and artist Joe Madureira.

If you remember, Wells and Madureira launched the “Avenging Spider-Man” with a three-issue story featuring a Spider-Man team-up with Red Hulk. Madureira rotated off the book, presumably because his role as creative director of Vigil Games took up much of his time, but with his departure from Vigil Games it looks like the two are set to team up to continue their story.

Whether their story will be told in “Avenging Spider-Man” which is being written by Christopher Yost as of Marvel NOW! or whether it will be in a new title (a miniseries, perhaps?) remains to be seen, but we’ll be sure to keep an eye on this one as I personally really enjoyed the three issues these guys did together first time around.

Alice W. Castle

Sworn to protect a world that hates and fears her, Alice W. Castle is a trans femme writing about comics. All things considered, it’s going surprisingly well. Ask her about the unproduced Superman films of 1990 - 2006. She can be found on various corners of the internet, but most frequently on Twitter: @alicewcastle
