On the last part of this week’s 4 Color News and Brews, Brandon and David introduce their last new segment of the month: Retro Reviews.
The first entries to this new monthly discussion point are Batman #452 through #454 (also known as “Dark Night, Dark City”) from Peter Milligan and Kieron Dwyer, a three issue arc that is featured heavily later in Grant Morrison’s Batman run.
The second retro review is a much more recent work. In fact, you can barely even call this a retro review…but whatever. We take a look at Image Comics’ (by way of TOKYOPOP) release King City, a book by Brandon Graham that captured David’s attention and was then foisted upon Brandon (Burpee) for the purpose of this segment.
