There’s been an awakening…have you felt it?
It is well documented how practically no one felt that The Rise of Skywalker was a satisfactory conclusion to the Skywalker Saga. It also wasn’t the originally intended third film; Derek Connolly and Colin Trevorrow had originally written Duel of the Fates, to be directed by Trevorrow, as the ninth film in the saga. A draft of that script from December of 2016, a full year before the release of The Last Jedi leaked online some time ago. For this week’s show, Liz, Matt, and Brian read the script and share their thoughts. Would this have been an improvement over the film we all saw nearly 2 years ago? Is it a good thing that this script never saw production?
We strongly encourage you to read the script before listening to this episode, or else it will likely make little, if any, sense.
