Welcome to another installment of The Hour Cosmic, your favorite comics game show! This week, our guest is John Barber, writer of “Transformers: Robots in Disguise” and senior editor at IDW!

On this week’s show, among other things, we discuss:

-What an editor does day to day!

    -This cover by Phil Jimenez:

-Plus, we welcome guest host Mike Romeo!

-Let’s meet our guest, shall we?

John Barber is a senior editor at IDW, and writer of “Transformers: Robots in Disguise” for the company. Previously, he was an editor at Marvel, where he worked on both regular 616 books as well as Ultimate universe books. He also tweeted maybe the most perfect thing of all time: My 2-year-old repeats the same thing and over-explains simple actions so much, we should’ve named her “The Newsroom.” For that reason alone, you should follow him on Twitter (@TheJohnBarber), and check out the ‘Dark Cybertron’ crossover, starting in November.

    As always, your hosts are:

Chad Bowers – South Carolinian, GI Joe enthusiast, co-writer of “Subatomic Party Girls” “Down Set Fight,” and “Awesome Hospital” with Chris Sims, and writer of “Monster Plus.” He teaches us cool expressions like “Oh, snakes!” and has a lot of opinions about barbeque.

Matthew Meylikhov – Bostonian, cat and beard enthusiast, co-writer of “Detective Space Cat” with Colin Bell, writer of “Morning Glories Babies,” “Morning Glories Academy Study Hall” (both backmatter for the Image Comics series “Morning Glories“) and “Control,” and letterer extraordinaire. He reads more comics than anyone on the planet, and has sworn off White Castle for life.

Mike Romeo – Philadelphian, Sam Kieth enthusiast, co-host of The Next Issue podcast. He does a great Stan Lee impression, and is just a sweetheart of a guy.

You can interact with the show in all sorts of ways – first of all, please rate, review and subscribe to the show in iTunes. You can email us at thehourcosmic@tellmesomething.org. Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
