Welcome back to Make Mine Multiversity: A Marvel Podcast! Each episode we’ll be looking at Marvel books, old and new, discussing those books, and also talking Marvel news, Marvel history and, sometimes, we’ll even have lists! This is one of those times! We got ranked lists, contests, it’s a whole thing. You’ll probably really dig it!
Make Mine Multiversity is a twice-monthly podcast that premieres on the first and third Friday of every month! But you already knew that. Or maybe you didn’t but now you do, and you don’t ever have to miss an episode.
In this episode, we talk about X-Men. I know, we talk about X-Men a lot on this show, but this time is different. This time you’ll hear two Jewish comic book fans discussing how Judaism has been portrayed in the last few years of Marvel’s merry mutants. There has been a lot of menorahs. But there’s also been some deeper cuts, and we are excited to talk about them! Plus we’ll talk about the repercussions from the “Empyre” event, and do a round up of our favorite ongoing books.
Next episode we’re doing our book club, and we’re reading the mini-series “Bullet Points” from 2007. It’s like an Elseworlds, but for Marvel. What If there was a name for that?
