This week we begin a series of interviews recorded at the Festival International de la Bande Dessinée
in Angoulême, starting with Eloise de la Maison
from Glénat Comics
and David Barnier
from Original Watts
First up, Chris chats with Eloise about what it’s like to be the French translator for Kelly Sue DeConnick (Bitch Planet, Pretty Deadly) and Kieron Gillen (Phonogram, The Wicked + The Divine), amongst various others.
Then he chats with Original Watts’ co-founder David about their burgeoning publishing roster, and how they’re trying to support emerging talents while reminding people of classic creators like Jean-Yves Mitton.
