Godzilla meets OZ. That’s the basic premise behind Zander Cannon’s new Oni Press series “Kaijumax”, and one that has hooked hordes of new readers to the book. But even that high-concept punch doesn’t really prepare you for just how good this book is, which is why Greg made a point to sit down with Zander for this conversation about the book, his approach, and the different elements and aspects that went into its development. What brought the series to Oni Press? How does the book represent a new way of working for him? What was it like working as a layout artist on such books as “Top 10” and “JLA”? What kind of reception has “Kaijumax” received since it launched in April? The answers to all those questions and many more are only a mouse click or finger tap away!

Greg Matiasevich

Greg Matiasevich has read enough author bios that he should be better at coming up with one for himself, yet surprisingly isn't. However, the years of comic reading his parents said would never pay off obviously have, so we'll cut him some slack on that. He lives in Baltimore, co-hosts (with Mike Romeo) the Robots From Tomorrow podcast, writes Multiversity's monthly Shelf Bound column dedicated to comics binding, and can be followed on Twitter at @GregMatiasevich.
