It’s been twenty years since Marvel launched its “Marvel Knights” imprint — an event so big the lads are taking two episodes to cover it! This week focuses on the imprint itself, and the who/what/when/where/why of how it came to be and what it set in motion for Marvel as a company and comics as a whole. Plus, how did it measure up to other publisher imprints, including the recent Young Animal over at DC. All that and more as Mike and Greg connect the dots on how Joe Quesada & Jimmy Palmiotti changed comics as we know it.

Next week: the comics themselves!

Greg Matiasevich

Greg Matiasevich has read enough author bios that he should be better at coming up with one for himself, yet surprisingly isn't. However, the years of comic reading his parents said would never pay off obviously have, so we'll cut him some slack on that. He lives in Baltimore, co-hosts (with Mike Romeo) the Robots From Tomorrow podcast, writes Multiversity's monthly Shelf Bound column dedicated to comics binding, and can be followed on Twitter at @GregMatiasevich.
