Greg finally got around to picking up something Mike had been recommending for years, so it’s time for another free-form discussion! This week’s show finds the lads picking apart some of the recent Grant Morrison-helmed Heavy Metal magazines and reflecting on both its legacy and future. After a discussion of the 2000 AD-themed fanzine Zarjaz, the pendulum swings from West to East, as Mike fills us in on the particular brand of Euro-sheened Ito-esque body horror manga that is the work of Shintaro Kago. All that, plus heads in flight, beach towels that might get you arrested, Gerhard minus Dave Sim, poster sets discounted to $4000, and Greg can’t seem to find his phone. All that and more on this week’s episode!

Greg Matiasevich

Greg Matiasevich has read enough author bios that he should be better at coming up with one for himself, yet surprisingly isn't. However, the years of comic reading his parents said would never pay off obviously have, so we'll cut him some slack on that. He lives in Baltimore, co-hosts (with Mike Romeo) the Robots From Tomorrow podcast, writes Multiversity's monthly Shelf Bound column dedicated to comics binding, and can be followed on Twitter at @GregMatiasevich.
