This week brings you an interview from a place even more bizarre than the center of the earth: Mega-City Two! Greg had the chance to pick the brain of Judge Dredd’s newest writer, Douglas Wolk, who is writing the upcoming Judge Dredd: Mega-City Two mini-series drawn by Ulises Farinas that IDW is releasing next month. But Wolk’s Dredd bonafides go deeper than that: he ran a comprehensive Dredd recap blog reviewing every Dredd collected edition up through January 2013, as well as writing the ongoing Dredd’s Comportment backup pieces in Duane Swierczynski’s Judge Dredd monthly. But he’s not just all Dredd all the time! Douglas also writes reviews of comics and music for such clients as Time, The Washington Post, Salon.com, The New York Times, and Rolling Stone, and is also author of two books (Reading Comics: How Graphic Novels Work and What They Mean and James Brown’s Live at the Apollo).

Greg Matiasevich

Greg Matiasevich has read enough author bios that he should be better at coming up with one for himself, yet surprisingly isn't. However, the years of comic reading his parents said would never pay off obviously have, so we'll cut him some slack on that. He lives in Baltimore, co-hosts (with Mike Romeo) the Robots From Tomorrow podcast, writes Multiversity's monthly Shelf Bound column dedicated to comics binding, and can be followed on Twitter at @GregMatiasevich.
