‘Rebirth’ is upon us, and so your fearless hosts are going to talk (at least) all the first issues of each ‘Rebirth’ title!

This week, we fulfill our contractual obligations to make certain jokes, go bananas over “Batman,” and recite, perhaps, the worst variation of the Green Lantern Oath to date.

Follow our hosts on Twitter, @sirfox89, @vj_ostrowski, and @BrianNeedsaNap.

Special thanks to Eddie Argos and Art Brut for the use of “DC Comics and Chocolate Milkshake” as our theme music.

    • Quite surprised you talked about Batman 32 and Helena later on, but not what this means for Huntress. Then you all sound unenthused about Batman which is a shame as I quite enjoyed the first two trades, but found the third overly melodramatic. Should I drop the title?

      • Brian Salvatore

We try (and fail) not to spend too much time on any one title, so sometimes topics like this get dropped.

We have hated Batman since jump, so it’s a little hard for me to advise you on this. I’d say this: if you read the first issue and it falls flat, the rest won’t do anything for you.

        • Ioannis A. Spiliotopoulos

No you got it all wrong. Its the best listen when you guys are in the weeds. Anyhoo after reading Kings run what we all should do is watch every Final Destination films and pretend you are Batman and after every death you nave to think was that a good death and would their parents be proud???? I know, I know………..i have no life.

      • VJ_Ostrowski

Yeah, if it was the melodrama that bothered you, the rest of this current arc won’t be any better. King’s Joker is somehow both overly dramatic and yet not one bit as fun as the average Joker is supposed to be, and the stuff with Bruce and Selina is full of melodrama with ultimately no true purpose or substance. Selina’s final speech in the current arc doesn’t amount to a hill of beans

        • Ironic, given I decided to start King’s run because of the proposal.

          • Ioannis A. Spiliotopoulos

Hi Christopher. I read everything out there and I like most everything, but these guys are 100% spot on. Kings run on Batman is so over the top that a couple of issues in I was done too. I have kissed these guys asses for at least 3 life times worth, but they are awesome and usually spot on.

            P.S. No Soup for you!!!!!!!!
