Welcome to another installment of The Hour Cosmic, your favorite comics game show! This week is our very first live show, featuring Jason Aaron, Jason Latour, Chris Sebela and Tim Seeley!

On this week’s show, among other things, we discuss:

– The evolution of facial hair we presented on stage! (Latour -> Seeley -> Sebela -> Aaron)

– Tim’s lack of memory of doing the show before!

– The essential Batman supporting character!

Let’s meet our guests, shall we?

Jason Aaron is currently writing “Amazing X-Men” and “Thor: God of Thunder” for Marvel, as well as “Southern Bastards” for Image, and is prepping to launch Marvel’s big summer event, “Original Sin.” In the past, you’ve certainly read his work on “Scalped,” “Wolverine and the X-Men,” “Ghost Rider,” “The Other Side,” and “Wolverine: Weapon X.” Check out his website, and follow him on Twitter (@jasonaaron).

Jason Latour is currently writing “Wolverine and the X-Men” for Marvel and drawing “Southern Bastards” for Image. A veteran of books like “Winter Soldier” and “Sledgehammer ’44,” Latour’s nuanced style, both with the pen and the pencil, makes him one of our favorite creators working today. Check out his work on his Tumblr, deviantArt, his art blog, and follow him on Twitter (@jasonlatour).

Christopher Sebela is the umpteenth Portlandian that we’ve had on the show, but we won’t hold that against him. Seemingly writing all the comics right now, he is currently the co-writer of “Ghost” for Dark Horse Comics, the writer of “High Crimes” for Monkeybrain, as well as getting ready to launch “Alien Vs. Predator” for Dark Horse and just having launched “Dead Letters” at Boom. He has also co-written “Fantastic Four” and “Captain Marvel” for Marvel Comics (with Matt Fraction and Kelly Sue DeConnick, respectively), and wrote “Screamland” for Image Comics. He can be found on Twitter (@xtop) and Tumblr.

Tim Seeley is both a writer and an artist keeping busy on both sides of the page. He is currently writing “Revival” for Image, just wrapped up writing “The Occultist” at Dark Horse (with art by Mike Norton) and “Army of Darkness vs. Hack/Slash” for Dynamite (with art by Daniel William Leister), as well as doing covers for the latter. He is also one of the four writers for the upcoming “Batman: Eternal” weekly comic at DC, and is currently closing the book on “Talon” there as well. On the art side, since wrapping “Hack/Slash” and “Ex-Sanguine,” he has been doing mainly covers and variants, including work on “Afterlife with Archie,” “Army of Darkness,” and “Hoax Hunters.” Check out his website, follow him on Twitter (@HackinTimSeeley), check out his deviantArt page and buy some of his original artwork from Cadence Comic Art.

As always, your hosts are:

Brian Salvatore – New Jerseyan, New York Mets enthusiast, host of “Input/Output,” a music podcast, and occasional blogger/freelance writer. He has never met a dog he didn’t like (even that one that bit his leg when he was 10), and has baked better bread than he ever thought possible.

Chad Bowers – South Carolinian, GI Joe enthusiast, co-writer of “Subatomic Party Girls” “Down Set Fight,” and “Awesome Hospital” with Chris Sims, and writer of “Monster Plus.” He teaches us cool expressions like “Oh, snakes!” and has a lot of opinions about barbeque.
