For today’s episode, Mike had the pleasure of sitting down with Brazilian artist Aluisio Santos. Published by Image Comics and written by Kurtis Wiebe, Aluisio’s latest book, Grim Leaper, an uber-gory love story, hits shelves November 14. The two also chat about Aluisio’s history and future with writers Johnny Zito and Tony Trov, from creating webcomics for DC’s Zuda to the trio’s upcoming series, Astounding Oddfellows. All this, plus plenty about influences, technique and Akira.

Did you catch yesterday’s episode? The dudes are post-Halloween, post-hurricane, and ready to talk about some funny books! This episode starts off with some reactions to the Disney acquisition of Star Wars. What’s it mean for the franchise? How about Dark Horse? Plus: Is George Lucas the Rob Liefeld of cinema? In comic reviews you’ll get an earful of AvX, unpack Chris Ware’s Building Stories, and explore the world of Grendel.
