Over the past ten years or so, Archie has gone from a publisher thought of for very straightforward books to one of the most experimental publishers in monthly comics. That may sound odd at first, but consider all the risks they’ve taken, and how well those have paid off: Archie as a zombie. Telling stories set in the 40s and 50s. Moving the main Archie continuity to the modern day. But my personal favorite has been the idea of showing Archie’s marriages to Betty and Veronica, each in a different timeline. This has been a really creatively satisfying way to expand the Archie story, while still keeping the mystery of ‘which one will he choose?’ preserved. We’re thrilled to share an exclusive first look at the next chapter in this story, “Archie: The Married Life 10th Anniversary” #4, due out on November 20th.
