The fifth week of the month usually brings some fun books from DC, who frequently use the week to bring annuals, one-shots, or self contained events. This month is an annuals month, with a number of books getting oversized issues from slightly different creative teams.

The “Batman and the Outsiders” annual is written by regular series scribe Bryan Hill, but is illustrated by guest artist Max Raynor (“Sideways,” “The Terrifics”). We are thrilled to share an exclusive first look at the issue, due out on October 30.

The soul of Katana’s husband, Maseo, is experiencing great unrest within her sword! The Outsiders must find a way to relieve him, or else the blade itself may shatter, unleashing not only Maseo but whatever unknown spirits and sorcery are trapped with him in the Pandora’s box of Katana’s blade!

Thanks to DC for the preview, and make sure to pick up the issues on Wednesday!
