Ta-Nehisi Coates has been building one of the best Marvel runs of the past half decade with his turn on “Black Panther,” helping to establish T’Challa as a major player in the Marvel Universe before his feature film in February of 2018. The series was briefly spun off into “Black Panther and the Crew,” but now the focus is back on the main “Black Panther” series, of which we are thrilled to share an exclusive first look of the eighteenth issue, dropping on September 27th.

T’Challa finds himself in an uneasy alliance with Ayo and Aneka, the Midnight Angels, when a new deity rises to claim Wakanda for its own. And making matters worse, an enemy from Black Panther’s past has resurfaced with ill intentions. It seems Black Panther has one choice — bend the knee, or watch his country burn.

Thanks to Marvel for the preview, and make sure to pick up the issue next Wednesday!
