“Books of Magic” was, initially my favorite of the ‘Sandman Universe’ titles, and nothing has changed that opinion. Due in part to Tom Fowler’s artwork and in part to Kat Howard’s really engaging characterization of Tim Hunter. Tim is one of the most interesting characters in this corner of the DCU, and Howard has really reinvigorated the character. We are thrilled to share an exclusive preview of the 11th issue, which you can find at finer comic shops on August 28th.

Cover by Kai Carpenter
Written by Kat Howard
Laid Out by Tom Fowler
Finished by Brian Churilla
Colored by Jordan Boyd
Lettered by Todd Klein

Tim’s family reunion is nothing like he imagined, and there has never been more at stake. Still struggling to cope with the tremendous responsibility of wielding magic, he realizes that his choices and his powers may have been to blame for his mother’s disappearance all along. With his trust in Dr. Rose fading and his friendship with Ellie falling apart, Tim is at a daunting crossroads with little hope and no clear path forward.

Thanks to DC for the preview, and make sure to pick up the issue on Wednesday!
