This is it, the beginning of the end. “B.P.R.D.: The Devil You Know” #11 begins ‘Ragna Rok,’ the final arc of “The Devil You Know” cycle. ‘Ragna Rok’ not only ends the “B.P.R.D.” series, but also serves as a conclusion to many long-running Hellboy Universe plotlines, some going all the way back to Mike Mignola’s “Hellboy: Seed of Destruction” in 1994.
Joining regular artist Laurence Campbell is Christopher Mitten (“Rasputin: The Voice of the Dragon,” “Rise of the Black Flame”) for a flashback sequence exploring the origin of the Hellboy Universe’s most fascinating villains, the white-dressed little girl, Varvara. Since her first appearance in 2008’s “B.P.R.D.: 1946,” Varvara’s been a fan favorite, but we know surprisingly little about her. In fact, most of what we know about her isn’t really about her at all, but rather about Yomyael, the demon that once possessed her. “B.P.R.D.: The Devil You Know” #11 offers a rare glimpse at the child she was before she and Yomyael crossed paths.
“B.P.R.D.: The Devil You Know” #11 comes out this Wednesday, December 5. Check out our exclusive preview below.
