Marvel has put up a brand new preview of New Mutants #11, the issue that ties in to the events of Siege. For a while now, we’d all been speculating on exactly how that was going to be accomplished because, besides maybe Wolverine, the X-Men aren’t participating in Siege. And now, along with the preview, we have a brief teaser interview with writer Kieron Gillen who explains it to us.

So why is Dani Moonstone going to join in the fray? For those of you who read Utopia, you know that the powerless Moonstone made a deal with Hela, and Hela has come a-calling for Moonstone to take on the role of her Valkyrie! It’s a nice twist on the classic valkyrie mythos, and Kieron teases that those reading his run on Thor will find a nice home in this issue. Plus, and I quote, “Valkyrie on winged-horseback versus Fighter jets.” So there’s that!

New Mutants #11 goes on sale March 31st featuring art by the fantastic Niko Henrichon, who had previously done art for the New Mutants back in a previous volume, and was also the artist of the number #1 graphic novel of the decade according to Multiversity Comics, Pride of Baghdad. Be sure to grab this issue.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
