Despite tussles with various members of the DC Universe since the book started, it took until this arc to see “Damage” introduce the Justice League as anything other than a threat/adversary to the titular hero. With Elvis Ethan Avery now under the protection of the Justice League, his story seems like black and white, with more options. Aaron Lopresti has been with the book since issue #9, returns here, to give Avery a tour of the Hall of Justice. We are thrilled to share an exclusive preview of the issue, due out on January 23rd.

Damage gets a new home: the Hall of Justice! The Justice League takes in former super-soldier Ethan Avery after their clash from last ish, and looks to train him to better use his powers. The lovefest ends quickly, though, when the League’s tactics cause Ethan to have flashbacks to the military experiments that transformed him into Damage. Batman may be the World’s Greatest Detective, but it might take more than a big brain to stop a power-house like Damage from setting his own path. And oh, what a path he chooses! Enter Damage: monster hunter!

Thanks again to DC for the preview, and make sure to pick up the book on Wednesday!
