Mike Carey, the legendary writer of Vertigo titles like “The Unwritten” and “Lucifer” teamed up with television producer Arvind Ethan David a number of years ago to get a film made. When that film never happened, the pair decided to turn that screenplay into a six issue miniseries. That, my friends, is how we wound up with “Darkness Visible” at IDW, a tale about humans and demons co-existing on Earth for 80 or so years. We are thrilled to share an exclusive first look at the penultimate issue of the series, which hits shelves on June 14.

When the demons came, humanity reluctantly learned to share the world with another sentient race. Eighty years later, this uneasy co-existence has spawned an endless terrorist conflict. Last issue’s revelation changes everything for Detective Aston, putting him at odds with his former colleagues!

Thanks to IDW for the preview, and make sure to pick up the book next week!
