The Clayface story in “Detective Comics” has been one of the best, and most underrated, stories since ‘Rebirth’ begin. Basil’s story, told masterfully by James Tynion IV and a slew of artists, hasn’t felt forced at all, and has unfolded so interestingly over the past 30+ issues. It seems tragic that he is resorting back to his villainous ways, but that is what appears to be happening in the ‘Fall of the Batmen’ arc. Miguel Mendonca has been slowly evolving Basil into a far scarier appearance over the past few issues, and this issue sees him fully, physically, embrace the villain again. We are thrilled to share an exclusive first look at the issue, the fourth part of ‘Fall of the Batmen,’ which hits stories on January 10th.
