We’ve spoken before about “Edgeworld,” the book that marks the return to comics for Chuck Austen (“Uncanny X-Men,” “JLA”) for the first time in 10+ years. We also shared an art feature with artist Patrick Olliffe (“Spider-Girl,” “All-New Atom”), where he walked us through his process creating the first issue. Today, before we get knee deep in cooking for Thanksgiving, we are sharing an exclusive first look at “Edgeworld” #3, due out on December 1.

Facing a personal crisis and the ongoing effects of the military occupation of Pala, Chaka decides to leave the planet, taking Cheela with him. But tragedy strikes before their departure, driving a wedge between them, and putting Chaka on the wrong side of Killian’s law.
