We’ve been covering the impending doom of the Ultimate Universe for some time now, so there’s no point in going through all of those details again. However, what is worth mentioning is that we’re actually rather excited for it. As someone who has read literally every Ultimate comic published (including Ultimate Adventures! Yeah! Remember that?), I for one am excited for Armageddon to come. It’s the end of the world as we know it, and I’m super excited.
So it all kicks off with a Point One issue written by new-Ultimates writer Josh Fialkov with art by Mico Suayan before turning over the reigns to Bendis and Bagley, and if this new preview from Marvel is anything to consider, it’s probably going to be fun in a Michael Bay kind of way:
I hope it’s better than “Ultimatum’s” rampant torture porn and Roland Emmerich levels of destruction, but it’s Galactus legitimately kicking some heavy duty ass after years of not getting to destroy our planet. Come on. That’ll be fun.
