Written by Grace Randolph and illustrated by Russell Dauterman, “Supurbia” was a Real Housewives take on the superhero genre, giving us a behind-the-scenes look at what makes superheroes tick. It never went as far as The Boys, but it still managed to do a good job of pushing the boundaries of the trope and exploring the ideas that make iconic characters tick in a modern world, their struggle with fame and the tightrope walk of morality and ethics inherent in putting on a cape and fighting crime — all while dealing with ordinary problems and a few hidden enemies, of course.

And now, next week, the mini-turned ongoing comes to its conclusion (for now?) in what looks to be the most explosive issue of the series yet, and we have your first look at it. Take a look:

The solicit for the final issue is as follows:

Writer: Grace Randolph
Artist: Russell Dauterman
FINAL ISSUE

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
